What are the fees?
Fees for walking tours are based on length of tour and number of guests. Generally a two-hour tour is $150 for a minimum of 2 people; three-hour tours are $225 for minimum to 2 and up to six people. Group (8 or more people) tour fees are calculated on an hourly rate based on group size, tour length and destinations. No museum/site fees, food, beverage or travel costs are included, unless specified on approved itinerary. A deposit is required for personal and group tours.
WHAT IS THE TYPICAL GROUP SIZE?
Walking tour groups are kept to a manageable size to ensure a great experience for everyone. Depending on the specific tour and itinerary, groups may be limited. For private group tours (more than 10 to a maximum of 40), call the office for special arrangements.
What is the difference between personal tours, group tours and walking tours?
Personal Tours can be arranged for one to eight people and are private; Group Tours are usually classified as 10 – 40 people and are private; and Walking Tours are open reservation and are subject to itinerary, but capped at 8 people maximum.
For Personal and Group Tours please call 917-8875476 or e-mail: RGarr0614@gmail.com.
HOW DO I MEET MY GUIDE?
Meeting destinations will be clearly announced. Meeting sites tend to be near major subway or bus stops and at visible landmarks or intersections. Specific instructions will be included in confirmations. For personal tours, your tourist guide will meet you at a designated location or at your hotel as specified in your itinerary. For any concerns call Robin.
HOW LONG WILL THE TOUR LAST?
Duration of tours is dependent on the itinerary. Most walking tours last about 2 - 3 hours and cover 1-4 miles. Our pace is casual with stops and breaks as needed along the way. Restrooms are limited, and public restrooms are sometimes not available -- your guide will point them out.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
Robin is intrepid and operates rain, shine, heat or cold. She does reserve the right to cancel based on extreme weather conditions that could be hazardous. Please dress appropriately for the planned itinerary, weather conditions and urban walking. Wear good walking shoes.
